What we saw in Merrow.
Marketplaces grow into a reconciliation problem they did not plan for. By the time it hurts, finance is closing the books nine days late and nobody trusts the numbers.
Joel had built this system twice internally and refused to build it a third time for free. That is usually a good sign.
We led the seed in 2018 and doubled down at Series A. The company was acquired by a payments group in 2024.
